Sun Dance Ranch has a small and cosy campsite so camping lovers can enjoy the ranch feeling as well. It is not the intention that Sun Dance Ranch will start a big campsite. (we don’t have the priorities there and there are already a lot of bigger campsites in the neighbourhood). But we do want to offer the camping lovers also the ranch experience and the ranch feeling but then from the campsite with own camper, caravan or tent with the horses in ‘ your backyard’.

The campsite is open all year around.

The service building

In the building included the saloon there is a toilet room with 2 showers, 2 toilets, a double sink and the possibility to order the washing machine and dryer at the reception.

NEW in 2026: possibility to empty chemical toilet and greywater tank

At the back of the saloon we made a place where you can empty your gray water tank by driving over/above a droppoint.
There is also a water point there you can fill your watertank. It is approved very nice natural groundwater from a 100 mtr deep well (checked and aproved by the official authorities). We use that water on the whole ranch.
And there is a little house where you can empty your toilet cassette and clean it with water.

Service house (cooking cottage)

This cottage is available for all guests and can be used to cook a meal or just sit down and get warm and dry. It has a sink, 2 hot plates, fridge, freezer, microwave, coffee maker and water boiler. It is also equipped with crockery, cutlery, pans and various cooking utensils. Of course, you clean up yourself after use!

Extra facilities at the campsite

The campsite has its own fire places, picnic tables, garden tables and chairs that may be used and also a large lawn to play on. There are beautiful picnic spots by the waterside like a BBQ, raft on the water and a tipi tent. In addition; the camping guests can also use the saloon and also play a game, read a book in the couch area, order a drink, snacks or dinner. In the saloon and on the porch, it is not intended to bring your own drinks and food. That you can take at the various picnic areas on the campsite or on the water.

At the camp site you can play table tennis and there is a large trampoline. Guests can also take part in the weekly BBQ in the high season or the many cosy campfire nights. There are plenty of activities to book such as: air rifle shooting, canoe or SUP trips and of course kids horse activities.

Spot on the ranch

The up to 15 spacious camping places are located behind the cottages and by the waterside overlooking the large meadows, forests and the river (with a beautiful sunset almost every evening). It is wonderful to wake up with a herd of horses munching in the ”backyard” of your caravan. It is very quiet here so we see regularly deers, foxes, cranes and even mooses walking through the garden.

But of course it is a ranch where also occasionally a tractor is started to get hay for the horses, etc. The kids also find it great to help at the ranch and to take care of the horses and all the other animals. It is possible as long as everyone’s behaving nicely and listens to the instructions from the staff.

Tipi tent

At the ranch there is a large (6 meter) original Indian tipi tent. The tent can serve as a cozy space and you can sit or eat in the tipi.

Camping tent, bungalow tent, caravan or camper. Dogs are welcome (clean up after them if they do something on the yard)!

• Of course there is also the possibility to book kids horse riding lessons, canou or Sup tours  or other activities.
