For the first location, we drove almost 300 km up north to Lofsdalen and Panorama. Here we were allowed to stay in one of the villas from Steven and Karin. It was an incredible beautiful apartment in a ski resort. In the evening a whole herd of reindeers passed by just under the window. So cool!
They had organized a nice activity for us. We had a wonderful walk through the unspoiled nature and we where above the tree lines. Steven is a super guide and we really enjoyed it.
After that it was time for the judgement, we had to answer a score list and we were not allowed to consult with the other couples.
After this first overwhelming day it was our turn to receive the guests at the ranch! The tension rose!!!
One by one arrived to the ranch. After a little tour around the ranch, we had a delicious dinner outside in the garden. We chose to make our guests happy with one of the menus that we offer in our restaurant, named a ‘ Moose trio ‘. Since it’s almost impossible for tourists to buy moose meat in a store, we found it very cool to be able to offer this. In the evening, the guests enjoyed the sauna and the jacuzzi.
The next day, after breakfast, our activity was planned. That couldn’t of course be anything else than horse riding. We did a tour through the forest and even a bit through the water. The guests really enjoyed their time on the horse back!
After the activity it was time for the guests to make their judgement. We opened all the letters right away. Even now when we knew how many points we had, it was super exciting, because we had no idea how many points the other couples had received
The following B&B, Gamla Skolan from Chris and Els was a nice decorated B&B as the name implies, in an old school building. The rooms were very clean and it looked all very nice. The welcoming was nice and friendly and we slept very well in our beds.
The next morning it was time for the activity. The activity they had arranged for us came as a kind of surprise. We went out before breakfast for a very nice yoga lesson on a beautiful location. After this, we where totally zen and we got a delicious breakfast. Then it was unfortunately already time to move on to the last location which was B&B Emventure from Ronny. We were well received and guided to our rooms.
For dinner, Ronny had a big surprise, a delicious salmon prepared over open fire. We were using the sauna in the evening and again, we slept well partly because of the sauna of course. Also the breakfast was perfect in order. After breakfast it was time for the activity. Ronnie took us on a great canoe trip. The area was beautiful and we have enjoyed all the fun on the water.
Now when we had seen all 4 locations and the crew had counted all the points it was time for the award ceremony. This was so incredible exciting!
On the 3rd place finished both the B&B from Chris and Els along with Ronny. The tension increased when we heard that Steven and Karin and we were the last ones for the 2nd and 1st place.
We really looked up to their beautiful and luxury villas. When we finally heard that we had won, we were so happy!! It’s so freaking cool to be chosen as the winner by other B&B owners! The trophy has a nice spot with us behind the bar!
